The robot is a major technological advancement that focuses on patient safety, helping to ensure accurate medication delivery for all patients. We also use Accudose machines, available in every patient care area, that help ensure accurate medication delivery. They are customized and stocked by our pharmacists 24/7 as needed. The pharmacy and nursing staff work together through a medication scanning system, Meditech, which ensures medication reconciliation, further increasing the level of our patients’ safety.
The Pharmacy at Emory Johns Creek Hospital has specialized areas capable of mixing highly complex chemotherapy solutions and even pharmacists who specialize in the delivery of medication to our tiniest patients in the Level III NICU.
