EJCH NICU Celebration
On Saturday, June 9, Emory Johns Creek Hospital welcomed back some of its youngest patients for a reunion. Now in its 4th year, the reunion for Emory Johns Creek's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) reunion brings together past patients and their families to reconnect with one another and celebrate important developmental milestones with the Emory Johns Creek Women's Center physicians, nurses and staff. Twenty-three families attended the event, enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The theme for this year’s reunion was “Fun in the Sun”, and everyone joined in various activities and even dancing to a steel band drum. An album was created with each family contributing their child’s foot print, photos from their stay in the NICU, and current photos of their child. To celebrate the spirit of the neonatal unit, prizes were given to parents whose babies were born at the lowest gestational age (27 weeks) through those born at 36 weeks.
