Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at EJCH

There are volunteer opportunities throughout the hospital.  Clinical and non-clinical departments welcome volunteers as part of their regular staff.

We at Emory Johns Creek Hospital believe that volunteers add a valued dimension to patient care in nearly every hospital department and want to thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the Emory Johns Creek family.  We fully recognize that volunteers are an integral part of the care we provide and want you to know we value you, the time you give, and the service you provide our staff, our physicians and our patients.  Your hands will touch many hearts.

ADULTS:  To volunteer in the hospital, please complete the application via the link below.  We thank you for choosing to commit your time and talents to Emory Johns Creek Hospital.

COLLEGE STUDENTS: To volunteer in the hospital on a regular basis, please complete the application via the link below.  Please indicate on the application if you are available during the school year or only during the summer months and on your school breaks.  College applications for the summer of 2009 are accepted on a first come, first served basis.  We currently have a wait list; students will be notified of their status by Friday, May 1.

APPLICATION: Click here for the college student/adult volunteer application.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file.  Please print it and either fax it to 678.474.8317 or return the completed application to the following address:

Beverly Miller, Director, Community Relations
Emory Johns Creek Hospital
6325 Hospital Parkway
Johns Creek, GA  30097

Once we receive your application, you will be contacted by the Auxiliary to schedule an orientation date.  Following your orientation, an interview will be conducted to learn a little about you and to see where your strengths and desires may fit with the hospital's availablilities and needs. At the interview, you may be given a tour of the various departments where volunteers are placed.

Orientations, which occur 8:30-11:30 a.m. except as otherwise noted below, will be held on the following dates:

March 16

June 9 (college students and VolunTEENs only, 2:00-4:00 p.m.)

August 17

September 21

November 16

If there is currently a waiting list, you will be notified when an opening for Orientation occurs.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer and a member of the Emory Johns Creek Auxiliary.
