Employees enjoy a great variety of benefits at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.

The following information is not intended to provide a complete explanation of benefits; it is merely a brief description of each benefit to be used as an overview.

Medical Insurance (FT and PT)

We offer medical options to allow employees to focus on their unique healthcare needs and to choose the most appropriate coverage. The Smart Care Base Plan is a PPO plan that offers full coverage for all kinds of medical expenses including prescriptions. For additional coverage the Smart Care Medical Rider and the Smart Care Prescription Rider are available.

Dental Insurance (FT and PT)

Cigna DHMO Employees must select a dentist from the Provider Network
CompDent DHMO Employees must select a dentist from the Provider Network
MetLife PPO Employees may select from a list of participating providers or may use non-network providers.

Life Insurance (FT)
 
Basic Life & AD&D Employees receive 1 X pay basic life provided by the Hospital.
Supplemental Life Employees may choose an additional 1 to 5 times annual pay.
Employees may also elect coverage for their dependents.

Long Term Disability (LTD) Options (FT)

Employees have the option of selecting long-term disability insurance coverage that replaces either 60% or 50% of income after 5 months of disability.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) (All Employees)

The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential counseling program offered to the employee and their immediate dependents.

401 (K) Plan (All Employees)

Employees are eligible to participate in HCA’s 401 (K) plan on the first of the month following two months of employment. Employees may contribute up to 50% of their eligible pay, before taxes. The facility will match 100% of your contributions to the plan -- from 3% to 9% of pay, based on your years of vesting service.  That means for every $1 you save (up to your matching level), the facility matches $1. Employees are 100% vested after the completion of three years of service.

PTO Program (Paid Time Off) (FT and PT)

This program combines time off for vacation, holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day), and unexpected absences such as short-term illness, illness in the family, preventative health and dental care, personal benefits, etc.

Employees will receive up to 23 days of paid time off during their first year of employment. This time off accrues bi-weekly depending upon the number of hours worked and is available for use after 90 days of employment.

PTO Cash Out (FT and PT)

Full time employees wishing to "cash out" accrued PTO hours down to 40 hours and part time employee down to 20 hours may do so twice a year at the rate of .90 cents on the dollar after completing 6 months of continuous service.

EIB Program (Extended Illness Bank) (FT)

Employees accrue time off each pay period for use in case of an extended illness of the employee. EIB may also be used for dependent illness up to 9 days per calendar year.

Tuition Reimbursement Program (FT and PT)

Full time and part time employees may take advantage of the tuition reimbursement program offered by Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Eligible employees must have completed 6 months of service. Consideration for tuition reimbursement is based on relevancy to hospital related professions. The maximum amount is $3,000.00 per calendar year for full time employees and $1,500.00 per calendar year for part time employees.

Healthy Benefits Program (FT and PT enrolled in PPO plan)

The Healthy Benefits Program is a free benefit available to help identify disease or health risks that employees may need to work on to prevent illness or injury from occurring.

The Healthy Benefits Program allows employees to participate in various lifestyle and disease management programs designed to help them take charge of their health and live a healthier lifestyle. The program features: personal health risk assessments, health screenings, and personal health management programs, such as weight management, smoking cessation, diabetes management, hypertension management, etc.

Flexible Spending Account Options (FT)

The facility participates in the IRS program allowing employees to deduct pretax dollars to be deposited in a special account to reimburse them for medical, dental, vision and childcare expenses incurred throughout the year. We offer a Medical & Vision Spending Account and a Day Care Spending Account.

Adoption Assistance (FT and PT)

This program provides monetary assistance to employees who have been employed for at least one year in the adoption of a child.

ConSern Student Loan Program (All Employees)

Employees may qualify for low cost, long-term educational financing for themselves and family members through HCA.

HCA Foundation Scholarship Program (FT)

This scholarship is available to children of FT employees who have been employed with HCA for one year; renewable scholarships will be awarded in amounts of $500 to $4,000.

Direct Deposit (All Employees)

All employees may elect to have their payroll checks directly deposited in to any account of their choice.

Credit Union Participation (All Employees)

Employees have the option of joining the Emory Federal Credit Union or Associated Federal Credit Union.

Child Care Center Discounts (All Employees)

Employees save 10% at Kindercare and LaPetite Academy child care centers.

Core Plus Benefits (FT and PT)

Employees are eligible to participate in supplemental insurance such as portable universal life insurance, short-term disability, long-term care, vision care and legal benefits.
