Safe Sitter Classes

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.  This class teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.

• Would you know how to rescue a choking child?
• What if the child got a nosebleed?
• Would you know what to say if you had to call 911?
• Do you know how to change a diaper?
• Safe Sitters learn these things, and more!

PREREGISTRATION is required.  Fee:  $65.00 and includes workbook, completion card, messenger bag filled with babysitting essentials!

CPR Classes - American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR Course - Includes infant, child and adult CPR and AED demonstration.  Workbook, certificate and face shield.  Class is opened to students between the ages of 11 and 111!  Fee-$50.00.  Preregistration required:  678.474.8200.

• First Saturday of each month - 10;30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  **NOTE:  This course is not intended to replace AHA Healthcare CPR for nursing and clinical competency training.
• Fourth Tuesday night of each month - 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
  

CPR Classes - for healthcare providers  - AHA Recertification for Healthcare Providers. Fee-$50.00.  Registration required.

• First Saturday of each month, 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Childbirth Preparation Class

Class led by our certified instructor with The Birth Place.  Fee is $125.  Call 678.474.8200 to register.

How to get a great start at breastfeeding, benefits and myths of breastfeeding, overcoming obstacles, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, medications during lactation and breast pumps.  Fee - $50.00  Registration required.
